An illustration referencing Schiaparelli's Fall 2023 Couture show showcased over the summer that I absolutely adored. This is Look 12. "Off-shoulder ultra-cropped blouse in ivory washed faille with gathered sleeves, whose hemline mirrors that of the puffed and irregularly draped skirt in ecru taffeta with integrated underwire casing"
This illustration I drew was an ideal look for the Met Gala 2023 honoring Karl Lagerfeld. This look references Look 45 from Givenchy's Spring 1997 Couture show by the legendary designer, Alexander McQueen. Originally being a skirt suit, I envisioned it into a gown with more of a beautifully sculpted mermaid-style skirt with the same style blazer up top. The back of the blazer with a corset style lacing cascading down to the skirt. The headpiece would remain in both looks. I think it would've been phenomenal.
